About Me

The functional application of my artistic talents have evolved throughout my academic life. Whereas once I pursued art purely to convey abstract ideas, I have come to appreciate how aesthetics can contribute to health and wellbeing.

I became interested in interior design through Architectural Digest magazine and its supporting YouTube channel. Through a series of video episodes, I learned about the ability for interior design to infuse the personality of the client into a transformed space.

Working with a fashion and bridalwear designer greatly expanded my appreciation for the application of textiles and provided a good foundation in the reality of collaborating on the delivery of projects with clients and suppliers to firm deadlines. It helped me to consider the application of materials and soft furnishings in a broader design context.

Through Art, I have built upon my foundational skills and have explored concepts and contexts that more closely reflect my personality.

I have become particularly interested in modern interpretations of movements such as Neoclassicism and Rococo. I am particularly receptive to the eccentricity of other artists such as Gaudi.

The practical application of the Arts is particularly interesting to me. I am very much looking forward to developing this further, enabling me to try new techniques and processes.
