Sleeping Portrait

This is one of my favourite pieces, a close-up oil pastel portrait of one of my exam pieces. I was exploring the relationships between contrasting colours and colour palettes which lead to this blue & orange portrait. I found that one of the blue pastels was bright enough to create this glowing reflection onto the face that didn’t appear on the original photos.
